Interior design and finishing in Kikuyu

Kikuyu has grown quickly since the Southern Bypass opened, and most of our work here is in the family homes going up around the town, Thogoto, Gikambura and towards Sigona. These are bungalows and maisonettes on their own plots, often bought under construction and finished in stages as the budget allows. We regularly take over where the builder stopped: ceilings, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, painting and flooring.

The typical Kikuyu project is a three- or four-bedroom house that needs the finishing layer: a flat gypsum ceiling with a cove in the living room, a fitted kitchen with a pantry, built-in wardrobes for the bedrooms, and paint inside and out. Exterior work matters here — houses sit on open plots and take the wind and rain off the escarpment, so we spec exterior-grade paint and proper surface preparation.

We also handle the commercial spaces coming up along the highway and in the town centre: shop counters, office partitions, signage walls and the plumbing and electrical fit-outs behind them. Because most Kikuyu sites are ground-level houses rather than apartments, we can work a full day without building-management restrictions, which keeps timelines short.
